The Kingdom of God, how to enter and become a Citizen
Thank you for joining us for another Holy Ghost inspired episode of The Hard Truth of the Gospel of the Kingdom of God by Joseph Maduabuchi Ogbuka, an avowed ambassador of the lost, forgotten and abandoned Gospel of the Kingdom of God. So, grab your Bible and listen attentively as he takes you through many scriptural testimonies and validations in proof of the hard truths that the kingdom of God has been on the earth in the guise of the Church since the day of the church's inauguration in Acts Chapter two. Let's go.
Good day viewers and listeners, and welcome to this week's edition of the Hard Truth of the Gospel of the Kingdom of God. Our topic today is “The Kingdom of God, how to enter and become a citizen.” The Kingdom of God how to enter and become a Citizen. This topic dwells on one of the most common passages of the Scriptures, one of the most common passages of the Bible, which is the most misunderstood, the most distorted and the distortion is as a result of the head knowledge of the Scriptures, the head knowledge of the Gospel without a revelation of the mystery about it. Everything about the kingdom of God is wrapped up in mysteries. Everything about this kingdom is wrapped up in mysteries such that no one else except God, no one else except the Lord Jesus can reveal to you anything about this kingdom. Every attempt that has been made by man to get into the knowledge of the gospel, the knowledge of the kingdom, the understanding of the kingdom, the understanding of the Gospel of the kingdom. Without a resource to the Holy Spirit of God, who is the author of the Scriptures and the revealer of the secrets of God, cannot walk. Since ages, since our Lord Jesus made this pronouncement in John chapter three, the world has labored, the whole world has labored to understand these things. But not even one has succeeded. It takes God to tell you what he means. And tonight we will be talking about it. About the Kingdom of God, how to enter and how to become a citizen, how to become a member, how you can become a member of God's kingdom.
Before now, all Christian denominations on the earth have attempted to offer a meaning, have attempted to give their understanding of what this means. It has led to distortions. They are not just there. The Bible colleges, the seminaries, have their own understanding, have made serious efforts. But all the effort being made are all human efforts. With human effort we cannot understand this. It is about a kingdom. Everything about this kingdom is wrapped in parables, is wrapped in secrets, is wrapped in mystery. What is a mystery is something that is hidden, something that is a secret, that can only be revealed by God. And so put aside, brush aside, Throw away from your mind everything that you have heard about the kingdom of God, how to enter it and how to become a citizen. Put it aside. Because what you'll be hearing tonight will marvel you. It is very far away from what you have been thinking, from what you have been taught, from what you have been educated, from what we have been indoctrinated into believing about the kingdom of God and how to enter it. Before we start, we would like to first define some terms, the kingdom of God and the concept, the idea of being born again. The kingdom of God is a heavenly realm, a spiritual realm, a spiritual household of God where Jesus dwells and reigns with the spirit of the saints, both living and asleep, which have been made alive or brought back to life from the dead. It is a heavenly realm. It's not a physical kingdom. The Bible, Jesus said is not of this world, is not like the kingdom of this world, is a totally different thing. Remove your mind from all that you have heard all this while about this kingdom from the Christian denominations, from Bible colleges and seminaries. This is a time to go to God, to go back to the Holy Scriptures. This Holy Spirit of God interpreted the word of God in the Bible. The word of God is not subject to private interpretation. It is not my interpretation, it is not your interpretation, it is not that person's interpretation, but the interpretation of the Scriptures by the author of the Scriptures, which is the Holy Spirit. The Bible says, Romans 3, 4. Let God be true and every man a liar. This is the time to brush aside, quarantine your mind from everything you have been taught, indoctrinated about how to become a member of God's kingdom, what is God's kingdom and how to enter into that kingdom. So we will be starting with this kingdom. We said the kingdom of God is a heavenly realm, a spiritual household, a spiritual city, not a physical city, not a physical realm, a heavenly realm, a spiritual household of God where Jesus dwells and reigns with the spirit of the saints, not with human beings, but with the spirit of the saints, both living and asleep. I didn't say both living and dead. I said both living and asleep, which have been made alive. Spirits of these saints have been made alive or brought back to life from the dead. These spirits were before they were before they entered into the kingdom of God. They were all dead, but they were brought back alive. They were made alive by the indwelling of the Spirit of God and the reign of the Spirit of God in their lives. Hebrews chapter 12, verse 12, verse 22 to 20, 24 or 28 makes this point abundantly clear. Hebrews chapter 1222 to 28. But yea, I come unto Mount Zion. Take a listen here. I come unto Mount Zion. What is being described there now is that kingdom is not a physical kingdom. It is not a normal kingdom where you can say, let's go. That's why the Bible says Jesus said it does not come by human observation. No. But yea, I come unto Mount Zion, unto the city of the living God. That's a city, a spiritual city, the city of the living God. The heavenly Jerusalem, not the physical Jerusalem that is in the Middle East. No, this is a heavenly Jerusalem, a realm, he said, and to an innumerable company of angels. There you meet the angels. There you also meet in verse 23, to the general assembly and the church of the firstborn. The church is there, you can see it. To the general assembly. The church is the general assembly and the church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven. And to God the judge of all, and to the Spirit of just men made perfect. And to Jesus, the mediator of the new covenant. And to the blood of sprinkling that speaketh better things than the blood of Abel. Give me verse 28, verse 28. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved. Let us have grace whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. This is the kingdom of God. I'm showing you the kingdom of God from your scriptures, from the Holy Bible. That's God's kingdom in action. Take it again from verse 22 for a deeper reflection and understanding. But here I come unto Mount Zion. The Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit calls the kingdom of God. Mount Zion. Not the physical Mount Zion in the present day physical Israel and onto the city of the living God. If you go to the Book of Revelation, you see where Apostle John made deeper explanation about his kingdom as the city of the living God. And to the the heavenly Jerusalem is also called the heavenly Jerusalem. All these phrases, all these expressions are used by God to qualify it for your understanding and appreciation that the kingdom of God is a spiritual realm, a heavenly realm, a spiritual household of God. Where Jesus. Where Jesus dwells and reigns with the spirit of the saints. Not the saints in the physical, but with their spirits. Not the saints in the spiritual, in the physical, but with their what Spirits? Not just the spirit of the saints that are alive, but the spirit of the saints that have gone. And they are not dead. We say they are asleep. The Spirit of the saints, both living and asleep, which have been made alive or brought back to life from the dead. This definition of the kingdom of God takes your mind back to what happened in Genesis, chapter 1, verse 17. But it is important that before we go there. Is important that before we go there. No. Genesis, chapter one, verse 19. But before we go there, please let us first of all understand that every person that is born on this earth, every person that is born on this earth is born with. Was born dead. Every person that is on this earth, both living and dead. We are born dead. We are born by a spiritual default. We are born dead by a spiritual default button. There is a button that made every human being on this earth are dead on arrival. Born dead. Nobody is born a believer. Nobody is born a child of God. Everybody was born dead. Adam was created, but was created in image of God. And what is the image of God? What you have been thinking about? The image of God is not the image of God. The image of God is. It speaks to the fact that Adam was created with a spirit that reflects and longs for God. A spirit that had a perfect union, a perfect harmony, a perfect affinity, a perfect unity with the spirit of God, the spirit of man. The spirit of Adam in Genesis was made God's sole agency through which God, the spirit of God interacts with the entire world, with the whole creation. The spirit that was given to that man in the in the garden, that man called Adam, was a spirit that God that had unity, that had harmony, that had cooperation. There was. There was affinity. It was a spirit that was used by God as a sole agency through which God interacted with all creation. It was a perfect union between the spirit that was in Adam and the spirit of God. The spirit in Adam had a longing for God, a very strong longing for God. That is a spirit that reflects God. He was put in Adam to draw him to God. That was the image of God. It was a kind of spirit that enables Adam to empowers Adam to be able to interact, to be able to communicate with God. There was communication between God and Adam in that garden. That was the state he was created. But when Adam fell, the Bible said there was a separation between God and Adam. And that separation is what is called death. And every human being was born in this earth, born on this earth, dead on arrival. Dead. Not dead physically, but dead spiritually. That spiritual death is a separation. The spirit of Adam enjoyed that close affinity and union and harmony with God before the. Before the fall. But when the fall happened, there was what A separation, there was a disconnection, there was a gulf that existed from that time. And it is in this perspective that you can understand how a person can be born again. So what is death there? What is called death? There is nothing but a state of spiritual separation between God and man. Death in that sense was not the physical death. The physical death is a symptom, is a consequence of the spiritual death. The physical death is a consequence of the spiritual death that is not the real death. The real death is, is the death of the spirit that was put in man. And that death is a state of spiritual separation between God and man. Now born again. The phrase born again is the clause. Born again is talking about the spiritual rebirth of the spirit of man. A rebirth of that spirit through the indwelling of the spirit of God in man is a supernatural power of God to revive alive, to bring back alive to rebate the spirit of man. Not the physical man, not that physical man, but the spirit that is inside him. The spirit inside that man was dead right from Adam. We are dead by means of spiritual inheritance. What we inherited from Adam was death, sin and death. And that death made it a necessity that for God to dwell in us, for God to come back, there must be a revival of that spirit that is dead. The process by which God reborns that spirit, the process by which God bring that spirit that is in a man alive, is what is called born again. And that process requires that the spirit of God will invade that man. The spirit of God will enter that man. And by the indwelling of that spirit in that man, that man is born again. But there are certain things that will happen before this can take place. And this is exactly what happened. This is exactly what Jesus meant in his conversation with Nicodemus. Let's see. Genesis, chapter one, verse 27. Genesis, chapter one, verse27. Genesis, chapter one, verse twenty seven. Okay, let's see. Isaiah, chapter fifty nine, two, Isaiah fifty nine two. But your iniquity have separated. But your iniquities have separated between you and your God. And your sins have hid his face from you that he will not hear. But your iniquities have separated between you and your God. And your sins have hid his face from you that he will not hear. The Bible said that in the garden God told Adam the for the day you will eat of that fruit, you shall die. For the day you eat of that fruit at the center of the garden. Give me that verse. For the day you eat of that fruit at the center of the garden, you will Die for the day you eat of that fruit at the center of the garden, you will be dead. Praise God. Luke chapter 9, verse 57 and to 60. Luke chapter 9, verse 57 to 60. And it came to pass that as they went in the way, a certain man said unto him, lord, I will follow thee wheresoever thou goest. And Jesus said unto him, foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of man has not where, has nowhere to lay his head. Verse 9:59. And he said unto another, follow me. But he said, lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. Jesus said unto him, let the dead bury their dead, but go down and preach the kingdom of God. But go down and preach the kingdom of God. Amen. Jesus said unto him, let the dead bury their dead, but go down and preach the kingdom of God. Jesus was referring to that man as a dead man. Take a look at that verse 60 again. Jesus said unto him, let the dead bury their dead, but go thou and preach the kingdom of God. The the man that was speaking to Jesus was alive. The man that spoke to him was alive, but Jesus was dead, telling him, you are dead. How can he be dead when he is alive talking with him? Jesus said, let the dead bury their dead. Let the dead bury their dead. That statement clearly indicates that statement clearly indicates the fact that the man speaking then was dead. Spiritually dead. Physically awake, but spiritually dead. And is important with we note that Jesus told him in his response, let the dead bury their dead, but go down and preach the kingdom of God. Jesus made it clear to this man there was a silent message by Jesus to that man. He was telling him, young man, you are dead. These people, the only people that are alive are those following me allowed. Go, let the dead bury their dead. The man that has died is just like the men that will bury him. Both of them are dead. The dead is burying the dead. The people burying the dead is equally dead. The people who are going to bury the dead are equally dead. There is a statement there clearly pointing to the fact that even though the man was alive, even though the people that would bury him were alive, Jesus said, they are all dead. He said, let the dead bury their dead, but go down and preach the kingdom of God. Let's see, Luke chapter 15, verse 24. For this my son was dead and is alive again. He was lost and is found, and they began to be merry. This was a passage in the parable of the prodigal son. This father met with him, and with a very great Excitement and heart full of joy, he warmly embraced him and said, for this son was dead and is now alive again. He was lost and is found, and they began to be merry. This parable clearly points to the fact that all human beings, all creation, was dead in Genesis and inherited death by default from Adam. Everybody was born dead. You can see that parable is talking about every person on this earth. We were born dead. And it is only in Christ that we can be alive again. And the process by which we can be alive again is what is called born again. Romans 3:23. For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. By this passage of the Scriptures, the Bible bears testimony to the fact. Everybody on this earth that has ever lived on this earth arrived on this earth dead. We all not. Not one is exempted. Whoever that is, whoever he is or she is, he arrived on this earth dead. For all, not some, not many, all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Romans 6:23. Romans 6:23. For the wages of sin is death. For the wages of sin is death. This sin that is found in Romans 3:23. The Bible said the consequence of this sin is what? Death. So death became available. Death became a reality. Death was made, was put into operation against man by sin. All have sinned. As long as all have sinned, all have died. But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ. John 5:24,25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that heareth my word and believeth on him that sent me half everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation, but is past from death unto life. Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that heareth my word and believeth on him that sent me, he that. From this you can now begin to now gain an insight on how a dead man can come back to life spiritually. How the spirit of a dead man, how this, the dead spirit of a man can come back to life. Look at it. He that heareth my word and believeth on him that sent me, he has everlasting life and shall not come into condemnation, but is passed from death unto life. He has passed from death because of what? Because he believed in he that that God sent. By believing in him whom God sent, a man is transited. A man is transitioned from death to life. That is about the Spirit of man. The spirit of man, which was before then dead, is transformed into life, is revived into life, is reborn alive. There Is it is a rebirth of the spirit that was dead. Verse 25. Verily, verily, I say unto you, the hour is coming, and now is when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God. And they that hear shall live. The dead being referred here is not the dead that has been buried in the grave. It is we. It is human beings. It is people that are on earth carrying a spirit that is dead. He said, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God, and they that hear shall live. There is a supernatural power that is carried by the spirit of God that is able to quicken a dead man into life, quicken the dead spirits into life. What is being quickened is not a human being. It is not the physical person. It is the spirit inside him, the spirit inside the man. And this is the fact that Nicodemus. Faith understand. Nicodemus saw himself alive. Nicodemus wondered how somebody who is alive, who is already born, can be born again. Nicodemus, a scribe of Israel ought to know that in Genesis, God caused man to die. God said, for the day you shall eat of that fruit, you shall surely die. For the day you shall eat of that fruit, you will surely die. So that instruction clearly points to the fact that the death of man was not just a happenstance that took place after Genesis. It was something that took place right there in the garden. For the day you shall eat of that fruit, you will surely die. And the lie of the devil to Eve was, you will not surely die. The lie of the devil. The lie of the devil was, you will not surely die. But there was a death. There became a chasm, a separation, a disconnection between the spirit of God and the Spirit of man. And man became naked and discovered he was naked for the first time. That separation occurred right there. That is the consequence of sin. So here we are told. Verily, verily, I say unto you, the hour is coming, and now is when the dead shall hear. The dead here are not those in their graves. They are not those in the cemeteries. They are those who are still. They are referring to the spirit of the. Of people who are physically on earth, who are physically alive but spiritually dead. He said, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God, and they that hear shall leave. John 5:24. No. Romans 5:12. Romans 5, Romans 5:12. Wherefore, as by one man sin entered the world, and death by sin, so death passed upon all men, for that all have sin. I take it again. Wherefore, as by one man sin entered the world by one man, sin entered the world, and death by sin also entered. Everyone became what? Dead. And so death passed upon all men. Death was passed upon all men, for that all have sinned. Death is the consequence of sin. That sin, even though you and I was not there. Even though you and I were not there. The death of Adam was inherited by all who are descendants of Adam by spiritual inheritance. We inherited death from adam. Yes. Ephesians 2:1 6. And you had he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sin. You see, all that we are trying to say is that you were dead in trespasses and sin. This death of human beings, of every human being in trespasses and in sin, have been a consistent message of the Holy Scriptures. And it is a surprise that the scribe of Israel, Nicodemus, did not know that he was born dead spiritually. It is a surprise that the teacher, the head teacher, the Rabbi of Israel, was unaware that he was dead, that he was born dead. And that is why he was wondering how what Jesus said can be made possible. From this perspective, you can understand. Once you understand that we were dead before, you can then appreciate the necessity of being of a rebirth, the necessity of being born again. What is being born is not a physical man, but the spirit in that man. The spirit in that man is dead and need life to be alive again. And by the incoming of the Holy Spirit in that man, this that man is brought alive spiritually because the Spirit of God now quickens his own spirit, and both of them will become one. That's what the Bible said in 1st Corinthians 6:17. 1st Corinthians 6:17. He says, this coming, the Spirit of God comes in and quickens that person that is dead spiritually. And when he is quickened, once he is quickened, the spirit is alive again. The spirit is alive again. By the supernatural power of the Spirit of God that has come inside him, the Spirit of man is now made one. You can see where it says, but he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. The Spirit of man and the Spirit of God now become one spirit. That is the miracle, the supernatural miracle that takes place when a person receives inside him the Spirit of God. That Spirit of God has the capacity a a supernatural power to turn alive the dead spirit inside a man and the dead the spirit inside a man, when he comes back to life, it unites with the Spirit of God and all of them become one. Yes. Ephesians 2. 2. Give me verse 2. Now, wherein in time past year, walked according to the cause of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now walketh in the children of disobedience. Give me, don't take it away until I talk. Wherein in time past year, walked according to the cause of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience. Verse 3among whom also we all had our conversations in time past, in the lust of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others we were by nature children of wrath. We are born on this earth with the wrath of God on our head. We are born on this earth with God's anger flaming on our heads because of sin. Verse 4 But God, who is rich in mercy for his great love, wherewith he loved US yes, verse 5 even when we were dead even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ by grace ye are sin even when we were dead in sins, God quickened us by the coming in of the Holy Spirit. That spirit of God that comes in is a supernatural spirit with a quickening power capable of quickening back to life. Dead spirits quickened us together with Christ by grace ye are saved. Verse 6 and has raised us up together and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus has raised us up together and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Verse 7 that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding richness of his grace in his kindness towards us through Christ Jesus. Colossians chapter 2, verse 13 but he said, and you being dead in your sins, the scripture is repeating and repeating and repeating it again and again, and you being dead in your sins, and the uncircumcision of your flesh, had he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses. Colossians 1, verse 13 says, he has delivered us from the power of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son. First Corinthians 15, verse 22 for as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall all be made alive for in Adam all died so in Adam all died. If Nicodemus had understanding of these facts, he would not be saying, how come is how is it going to be possible? Because should have known that in Adam he with all the people of Israel, every human being, were all dead even so in Christ shall all be made alive by the cominging of the Holy Spirit of God in a man that dead Spirit in a man is turned alive. Ephesians 4:5, 15, Ephesians 5:14. Wherefore he said, Awake, Awake, thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. Awake, thou that sleepest. This is a message to every human being on earth. His holy spiritual gift. The Holy Scripture says, awake. Holy Spirit is saying, awake, you that are asleep, you that is separated from God. Arise from the dead. Arise from the dead by accepting the gospel, believing the gospel, believing the truth, believing him whom God has sent, and Christ shall give thee light. Now let's go to the main topic, the main verse of this particular topic. And that is John, chapter three three to eight. John chapter three three, eight. Wherefore he said, no? Jesus answered and said unto him, verily, verily I say unto you, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. What this verse is saying is that except the spirit of a man, the spirit of man is turned back alive. Except the spirit of the dead. Spirit of a man is brought back alive, is revived, is reborn. He cannot enter the kingdom of God. And that's why we say that the kingdom of God is a heavenly realm, a spiritual household of God, where Jesus dwells and reigns with the spirit of the saints, both living and asleep. Where Jesus dwells and reigns with the saints, the spirit of the saints, these saints, some of them are still alive physically on earth, but their spirit is in the kingdom. Except a man be born again. Except the dead spirit of a man is reborn, is revived, is brought back alive. That person cannot see, that person cannot enter the kingdom of God. So the kingdom of God is a kingdom of people whose spirits are alive, a kingdom of people who have been brought back to life by the spirit of God. It's not a kingdom that is physical on this earth. It is a kingdom of people who have been revived, who have been reborn, who have been turned back to life from death. In their spirit, they could be living, they could be dead. They are both living and dead. The Bible said their spirits are dead. If you go to the book of Hebrews, chapter 12, you see it from verse 22 to 24. So in verse four, let's read verse four, John, chapter three, verse four, Nicodemus said unto him, how can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother's womb and be born? Nicodemus mind was fixated on his physical body, on his physical existence. His mind was fixated on the carnal flesh. What Jesus is talking about is about the spirit inside Nicodemus. Jesus is telling Nicodemus, the spirit inside you is dead. It was born dead, it was created alive. But something happened in Genesis due to the separation between God and man. In Genesis, man became dead by means of. By reason of separation from God. Separation between the spirit of God and the spirit of man. And Nicodemus need to understand that he cannot enter into God's kingdom. The kingdom he thinks he's talking about cannot be accessible to any man whose spirit is still dead. He said, when he. He said, how can a man be born when he's old? Can he enter the second time into his mother's womb? The answer is no. In verse five, he said, Jesus answered, verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of spirits, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God except a man. This is a more harder confusion this passage gives, puts Nicodemus into a more serious trouble. Confusion. Except a man be born of water and of spirit and of the spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. Very soon we shall see the water, we shall see the spirit. They are all talking about one thing. That water, that spirit is referring to the Word of God. The water is the word of God. The Word of God is the Spirit of God. The water is the Word of God. The Word of God carries the Spirit of God. The Word of God carries something inside it. The words I speak to you, they are life and they are spirit. The Word of God is carrying something that thing is carrying is the Spirit of God. The Word of God is the powerhouse of God's spirit. The Word of God is where the Spirit of God is domiciled. And when you receive the Word, you have received the spirit of the world. And once you receive the spirit of the world, the world, the spirit of the world enters into a man who have received this reward to quicken the dead spirit in that man to life. That is the kinetics of how a dead man, a man who is dead in spirit, can come back to life. Verily, verily, I say unto you, except a man be born of water and of spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. Verse 6. That which is born of the flesh is flesh. That which is born of the spirit is spirit. That which is born of flesh is flesh. The physical Nicodemus right there, was born of flesh, his flesh. But there is a spiritual Nicodemus that is right there, seated with Jesus in that Conversation that spiritual Nicodemus is dead, was dead and needed the Spirit of God to enter into him again and revive that spirit. And both of them will become one. That is what is called born again. First John 5. 1. Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God. And everyone that loveth him, that begat, loveth him also that is begotten of him. Whosoever believeth that Jesus Christ is the Christ, that person is born of God. You can see how a person can be born of God. You see that spirit of God cannot enter except you accept he that God has sent, that Christ is he whom God has sent. You have to accept him. You have to believe in him. When you believe in him, he is the word of God made flesh. When you believe that Word made flesh or believe the Word, the Word carries a spirit. That spirit is the powerhouse of God. When God was speaking to Zerubbabel in Zechariah 4, 6, he said, not by power, not by might, but by the Spirit of the living God. Whosoever that believeth that Jesus is the Christ, that person has accepted the world. And when he accepts the world, the Spirit of the world will invade that person and turn on the dead spirit of that man. And the Spirit of the man will become alive. And everyone that loveth him, that begat the loved, that begat, that begat, loveth him also that is begotten of him. Let's see John 1 verse 12 to 13. John 1 verse 12 to 13. But as many as received him to them gave he the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. The power to become sons of God is the power of the Holy Spirit. The power to become sons of God is the power that the Holy Spirit gives to a man. The power to become a son of God is indwelling in the world, but as many as receiving, as many that accept the world. Whosoever accept and believe the world to them gave him power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. So the way by which a person can be born again is not by any physical work, any anything else other than believing in the truth of the gospel, believing in him whom God has sent. That person God has sent is the Word of God made flesh. When you believe that Word made flesh. When you believe that Word made flesh. That Word carries a spirit, that word has a spirit. And that spirit is the Spirit of God, the powerhouse of God. The power by which God makes everything impossible possible. He said, give, give me. Verse 13, which we are born when you are born again. You are not. We are. You are born not of blood, not of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. When a person is born again, he is born by the Spirit of God. He is born by God. He is born of. God is not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, no, but of God. First Peter, chapter 1, verse 3. And verse 23, first Peter, chapter 1, verse 3. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy has begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. Blessed be. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Which according to his abundant mercy has begotten us again. Which, according to his abundant mercy has begotten us again. The same way God begot Jesus and Jesus became God the same way we have been begotten, not we have been begotten by Jesus Christ through the entry of his Spirit inside a man, through the entry of his Spirit inside us. He has shown us mercy, has begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. Titus. Okay, give me verse 23 of that. Say being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible. By the word of God which liveth and abideth forever. It is the word that does the magic. It is the Word that does it. When you hear the Word, accept the word, believe the word. The Bible says that word. Return me back. That word is not. Is a seed. It is not a corruptible seed, but an incorruptible seed. It is the word of God which liveth and abideth forever. Look at what reborns a person. Look at what brings a human, brings the dead spirit of a man back to life. It's written in the scriptures, but you don't know the power thereof. Being born again not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible. This seed being talked about is the word of God which was preached the Gospel. That's why Apostle Paul said, I am not ashamed of the Gospel. Because it is the power of God unto salvation to them that believe. That's why the Bible says the word of God is sharper, is powerful and sharper than any two edged sword. It is the power of God. What you are, what people have been neglecting all these years, is the reaper house of God. In the beginning was their Word. That Word was with God. That Word was God was then. Because as at that time, it has been made flesh. So the Word of God that the people have neglected, people have disregarded is the powerhouse of God. That is the incorruptible sin which a person believes. And it will reborn the person. It will bring the person back to life. It is that button of life which you press by believing. And the dead spirit in you will come back to life. Look at it being called exactly the Word. He said, you are born again. Lot of corruptible seed. But of incorruptible by what? By the Word of God which liveth. Which liveth and abideth forever. The Word of God is alive. The Word of God is alive. It liveth and abideth forever. That is the incorruptible seed. That is the incorruptible seed which carries in it a the spirit of the ancient of days, the Spirit of God. It is this power. It is this Word of God that brought forth everything that was created. Nothing was created except through the agency of the Word of God. God spoke as things came into existence. As he spoke, things happen as he spoke, he spoke into existence. Everything that has been that is in existence. Nothing existed that did not come by the power of the Word of God. This Word of God is the. Is. How will I put it? That is the. The. The powerhouse. That is the. The. The ark. The Ark. The ark. And if you. If you notice the very act of covenants in the. In the Old Testament, what is inside it is nothing but the two tablets of two. That is it. The Word of God is the powerhouse carrying the spirit of the ancient of days. Everything that was that existed, everything that exists came into being through the Word of God. If it is not by word, by the Word, it never. It doesn't exist. That is the corruptible seed. That means that is the incorruptible seed, the undefiled seed. It is not this. It is not any other thing but the Word of God which liveth and abideth forever. Titus, chapter 3, verse 5. Not by works of righteousness, which we have done, but according to his mercy, he saved us by the washing of regeneration. You see it. Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy, he saved us by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit. Not by works of righteousness. No. A lot of people have a different understanding that being born again is keep. Is having the spirit or the grace of God to obey the laws of Moses, to obey all the laws in the Bible, to obey the Laws given to the people of Israel. That is not true. That is not. That is a human understanding of being born again. Being born again is the indwelling of the Spirit of God. The indwelling of the Spirit that is in the word of God inside a man. Once he comes in, it turns the spirit of that man alive. And as long as he's there, that man is born again. That spirit is the spirit of adoption by the Spirit inside the Word of God. A person is adopted unto God as his son. A person is begotten by God the same way God begot Jesus, by the indwelling of the spirit of God inside Jesus. The same way Jesus has begotten us by the indwelling of the Spirit of Jesus inside us. That's why the Bible says we are now begotten. We are not just. He didn't just turn our spirit on, he is now living inside us. And our spirit and his spirit is now one by the washing. It is the word of God that does the washing. It is the word of God that does regeneration. It is the word of God that does the renewing. It is the Spirit in the word of God that does these things. John 6:63. It is the Spirit that quickeneth the flesh profiteth nothing. The words I speak unto you, they are spirit and they are life. It is the spirit that quickened. Now you can see. It is the spirit that quickeneth. That is the spirit inside the world. It is the spirit that quickeneth the words. The flesh profiteth nothing. The words that I speak unto you. The words I speak unto you, they are life and they are spirit. It is the life of the world that quickens your life. The quickens your dead spirit to life. It is the spirit of the world, the west, that I speak. Can you see it? He's talking about the Word. The words that I speak unto you, they are that spirit that is the Spirit of God. That is the ancient power of God that turns alive spirits that are dead. They are spirits. The words I speak unto you, they are spirit, not spirits, but one spirit. They are spiritual and they are life. It is this word of God, when it is received, when is accepted, when it is believed by a man, that person, that man receives inside him the spirit of the world he has believed. The Spirit of the world which he has believed enters inside him and turns his spirit that was dead from Adam back to life. And his spirit and the Spirit of God will become one. James, chapter one, verse 18. Of his own will, begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures, of his own will, beget he us. Look at it again. With what did God begot you, beget you of his own will, begat he us with what? With the word of truth. Unfortunately, people don't people neglect the truth. Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free. What can set you free? What can set your spirit free from the power of death, from the power of separation from God, is the truth. It is the truth of the gospel that can reunite a spirit that is dead and reconnecting back to the source of life. And he will become alive in the spirit of his own will, begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures. First Corinthians 15, verse 22 and 45 for as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 45 and so it is written, the first man Adam was made a living soul. The last Adam was made a quickening spirit. Look at the kind. Look at the spirit that enters into a man. Look at the correct description of that spirit. A quickening spirit, a spirit that has innate capacity, innate ability to quicken a dead spirit to life. A quickening spirit. The last Adam is not a normal, is not an ordinary human being. By reason of his death, by reason of his resurrection, the Bible said he has become a quickening spirit, a spirit that's the spirit that returned back on the Pentecost day. That is the Spirit of Christ. That is Jesus Christ, his spirit form. Jesus Christ in spirit form is what is called the Spirit of Christ. That is what returned back to the church and dwelt on each and every one of them in the upper room on that fateful day when the kingdom of God, when the door was open for all mankind to start entering the kingdom of God, that is a quickening spirit. The Scripture is here giving us a very apt description of the power of the Spirit is a spirit that has the capacity to turn back to life what is dead. That's the that's the Spirit we received in Christ. 2nd Corinthians 5:17. Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature. You can see by reason of what has happened. He if your spirit is turned up to life again, if the spirit of a man is brought back to life again, that man, that person, is a new creature. All things pertaining to his former person, pertaining to his former spirit that was dead, are passed away. Behold, all things have become new A new creature. A new creature. By the power of the spirit of God, the spirit in a man is recreated. It is the spirit in a man is recreated by the recreating power of the spirit of God. The recreating power of the spirit of God turns a man back to life, turns the dead spirit of a man back to life. Through his quickening power. It is not just a process of birth, not just a process of rebirth, but a process of recreation. In Genesis, Adam was molded and was lying flat on the ground before God breathed into him, into his nostrils, the breath of life. In the same way, when the spirit of God enters into a person and turns his spirit back to life, that person is recreated again. Just as God created man in Genesis by breathing into his nostrils the breath of life. The incoming of the Spirit of God turns the bottle of death, of death back to life. It revamps, it revives, it recreates and reborns that spirit that was dead. It will become alive. And the Bible calls what has happened, he said it is a process of recreation. It is not a normal process. It's a supernatural process where the spirit inside a man, what is being talked about is the spirit inside a man, not the person in the physical. The spirit inside a man is. Is reborn, is recreated, is quickened. When this happens in a man, that man, that person is said to have become, to have been recreated. And that's why the Bible says if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature. The old creature that was done, that started in the Garden of Eden, where God breathed into the nostrils of Adam, has gone dead. And this is a new creature coming alive again by the incoming of the Holy Spirit of God inside a man. First John 5, 4. For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the war. And this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Whatsoever whosoever is born of God, whosoever receives this supernatural spirit, whosoever receives this supernatural spirit of God, the Bible said he overcometh the world. The Bible says this is the victory. This is the victory. The victory we have is the victory over sin and death. Over sin and death. This is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith. Romans 8, 10, 11. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. If Christ be in you, the body is dead. Your body, your physical person is dead because of sin. It remains susceptible, amenable to all those things that are concomitant that. That are related, that are a. As that are consequences of death. Yes. Your body remains vulnerable to all the things that are associated with the spiritual. With. With death. Your body remains susceptible, remains vulnerable to anything. But the spirit in you is life because of righteousness. The spirit in you is alive because of Christ, who is that spirit that is alive in you. Verse 11. But if the spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, if this kind of spirit dwells in a person, if this type of spirit, a quickening spirit, if it dwells in a person, if it. If the spirit of him that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he that raised up Jesus Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his spirit that dwelleth in you. So what is dwelling in people, in the saints today are exactly that same spirit that went to the grave 2,000 years ago to ex. To bring forth Jesus back to life. It is that same supernatural power which went to the grave and turned Jesus back to life. That is what God has implanted inside believers by the supernatural power of that spirit. The mortal body of a believer can be quickened on the day of on the day our mortal bodies will be glorified. There is coming a day when the mortal bodies of believers will be quickened by the same spirit. Just as it quickened the spirit of it quickened Christ, it quickened Jesus in the grave. There is coming a day when every believer, every saint of God, living and dead, shall be caused to put on the immortality by the power of these spirits indwelling in them. This is the hope to which believers are born. This is the hope of the gospel. This is the hope that brings us into the kingdom of God. While we are in the kingdom, we are waiting earnestly for the day that mortal bodies will put on that mortality we wear immortality. That day may tarry, but it will surely come. And it's important that we call attention of everybody all over the world. The term being born again is not a term that you can smarten. Try to understand with your head knowledge. It is only God that knows what's inside this particular term. Only God knows what that means. And for us to get the true meaning of that, we must have a recourse to God. Bible college understanding cannot reveal these secrets. Seminary understanding cannot reveal these secrets. Christian theologians, Christian denominations, has no understanding of what this is talking about. Only Christ can give us an idea of what he means. Today we are coming life with the meaning, the understanding and the truth of what Jesus meant in that particular passage. What he meant is that the man that was Seated with him in that conversation, that man is dead. That man has a spirit inside him that is dead. I'm talking about Nicodemus. Nicodemus was dead, but knew not that he was dead and was thinking of himself as alive. But Jesus was talking about him as a dead man. Not dead in the physical, but dead in his spirit. And that his spirit needs the spirit of God. And that for the spirit of God to come, he must believe him whom God has sent. He cannot rely on obedience or keeping of the laws of Moses. That spirit in him that is dead cannot be quickened by the mere obedience to the laws of Moses described. Then Nicodemus, by being a Pharisee, he has kept all those laws of Moses, yet he was still carrying the dead spirit inside him. Yet the spirit inside him was still dead. And Jesus was speaking to him, saying, you are carrying the spirit inside you is dead. You are dead because of the death of your spirit. And you need the Word. You need the Spirit of God to come in you. That is the only thing that can quicken this your dead spirit to life. By quickening it, a person is ushered into the kingdom of God. The kingdom of God is a kingdom made up of people who have been turned back to life from the dead. Is a kingdom made up of people whose spirit have been reborn, whose spirits have been recreated by the supernatural power in the Word of God. The Word of God that you the world has been neglecting is the is the ark of is the ark that is carrying the Spirit of God is the carrier is the is the bastion where the Spirit of God dwells. Apostle Paul said, I'm not ashamed of the Gospel because that is the power the Word of God is the power of God unto salvation to them that believes. Give me Hebrews, chapter 4, verse 12. The word of God is powerful and sharper than any two edged sword. For the word of God is quick and powerful and sharper than any two edged sword piercing even to the divided asunder of soul and spirits and of the joints and marrows is a discerner of thoughts and intent of the heart is the word of God is quick and powerful. Apostle Paul attested to this when he said, yes, the word of God is the carrier. When you neglect the world, you have neglected God. When you neglect the if you reject the world, you have rejected Jesus. If you reject if you accept the Word, you have accepted Jesus. That's why the Bible said, ye shall know the truth. It is the truth of that gospel, the truth of the world. You will know the truth. The Truth shall set you free. Free from what? Free from the power of death. What's the power of debt, Sin? The power of death. Death was. Death was created by God. Some of you may not know that God created everything, including life and death. But he created death dead. And told Adam, the day you will eat of this fruit, this thing that is called death, that is dead, will come to what life. It is God that created death, but he created death dead. Death was just merely existing, but it had no power over man. Adam operated successfully for as long as he did not eat that fruit. That, that gospel, the first message, the first law, was, thou shall not eat of the fruits of the tree of knowledge and knowledge of good and evil. That's the first word. For the day you shall eat of this fruit, you shall surely die. You shall surely be separated from me. You will not enjoy my unity, my affinity, my union, my harmony. I will no longer use you as the sole agency through which I can interact with the entire world. Man was made the king over all creatures. Man was given dominion over everything that was created. When he was. He was. He was operating as the agency of God when God was using him, coming through him, going, having fellowship, having communication, having communion with God. The moment man was separated, man lost God's union, God's harmony. The spirit of God that usually. That usually interacts. This image of God in man was that longing of the spirit of Adam to unto God. The longing for God by the Spirit that God gave to Adam. A spirit that reflects God. A spirit that had a longing after God. A spirit that had a harmony, perfect affinity, perfect unity with God. Adam lost it, and Adam lost it, was said to have died because the spirit now got separated from him. God, through Jesus, is now seeking to reunite himself with all that have died in Adam. And that process of reunification is through the same word that Adam rejected. The same word that was given to Adam in the Garden of Eden is the same thing. Carrying the life, carrying the life of God. The Word of God carries death. It also carries what life the Word of God. Disobedience to the Word of God gave man death. Disobedience to the Word of God brought in what Death. Obedience to the Word of God brought in life. This is the operation, the activity of the two of the first and the last Adam. The Bible calls Jesus the last Adam because after him there will not be. There will not be any other Adam. So being born again is not being able to keep away from obeying from. From breaking the laws of Moses is not being able to Keep the laws of Moses. It's not being morally chaste. It's not being able to. It's not an empowerment. It's not a grace of God for us to keep the laws. It's not the grace of God for a man to walk in obedience to those laws. No. It is the recreation of the spirit in a man. The turning on of the dead spirit of a man to life through the process of him believing the gospel, believing him whom God have sent, believing the word of God, believing whom God have sent and believing the word of that man. The word of that man carries the spirit of God. If you believe him, you receive the power. He said he went to his own. His own rejected him. And he said to as many as will accept him, as many as will believe in him. To them he gave what the power. You can see that power again. There is a power in the world. That power in the world is the Spirit of God. The Spirit of God is what quickens us. That's the spirit of Christ. The Spirit of God, the quickening spirit of Christ, which once you believe the word, that power quickens you back to life. It is the word that washes you believing the word of God. The word of God is that incorruptible seed which a man believes. And God sows that seed in your. In your body, in your spirit. That seed is received in a man. Once a man believes and it brings forth, it opens a man to the incoming of the Holy Spirit. It opens up a person to the reception of the Holy Spirit. Without the spirit of God turning your spirit alive, you cannot receive, you cannot have God. It is when this thing happens, that is when a person is said to be born again. A person that is born again has overcome the world. He is victorious in all ramification. What is inside him is what created the whole world. Nothing on earth can wrestle with that person. That person does not need prayer. That person does not need anybody. The power that is in him, the power domicile in him is the power that went to the grave and brought Jesus back to life. The Bible said, with him we are more than a conqueror. With him you are an overcomer. With him you have overcome the world. But without him you are a victim of you are still an object of God's wrath. So tonight let it be made clear the kingdom of God has come. And the how to enter, which is our topic, how to enter is by believing him whom God have sent. Take it again in John, chapter 4. John, chapter 5, verse 24 John 5, verse 24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that heareth my word and believeth on him that sent me has everlasting life and shall not come into condemnation. But is passed, look at the process is passed from death towards life. He will no longer be judged, he will no longer be condemned. He is moving, believing in him whom God has sent. Give me John 3, verse 18, John 3, verse 18, and even verse 36. John 3, verse 18. So it's important you understand exactly what you are required to do. For for you to be born again. You are not required to keep all the ordinances that God gave to the people of Israel. For your information, it is not just one, it's not just 10, but 613 is important. You understand that that script, that law was not given to them for them to be made alive. It was given to them to remind them that they were dead. To remind them that they were dead. So that when Christ comes, they will be able to accept him. Unfortunately, when Christ came, they still looked up to him and said, we are righteous. He says, I'm sorry, I've not come for the righteous. I've come for the lost sheep of the tribe of Judah. John 3:18. He that believeth on him is not condemned. But he that believeth not is condemned already because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. You see, believing in Jesus, believing in the Word of God, the word of truth. Not being a make believer, not believing one and not believing the other. The Word of God is one wholesome message. Believing in this gospel exactly the way the apostles believed it. Believing exactly what the apostles believed and not believing exactly what the apostles did not believe. That is what gives you access, your access key into the kingdom of God. Give me verse 36 of that gospel. He that believeth on the Son has everlasting life. And he that believeth not the Son shall not see life, but the rods of God abideth on him. Look at the state of man without Christ. The state of man without Christ is that he is carrying a burden. A burden not of cassava, but a burden of the rot. The rot and the curse. The anger of God abided on him. Let us see. Luke chapter 18. The rich man that went to Jesus. Luke chapter 18. Luke chapter 18. Give me from 18, verse 18. A certain ruler asked him, saying, good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? In other words, what shall I do to enter the kingdom of God? A certain ruler. A ruler in that time. A ruler at that time is a Scribe one of the Pharisees. As you go on now, you will see that this man, called a ruler here, was one of the top members of the Sanhedrin as a Pharisee in the land of Israel. On that day, he asked Jesus, saying, good master, what shall I do to inherit the kingdom of God? To inherit eternal life? In other words, what shall I do to have the life to enable me enter the life of people that are in the kingdom of God? Verse 19. Yes. Jesus said unto him, why calleth thou me good? None is good save one that is God. None is good save one that is God. By this passage, Jesus is making a disclaim, a disclaimer that he is not good. And as well, that the only one that is good is God. Invariably, by implication, is not God. That is a deliberate attempt to keep him blinded. Because the person that is talking to him is blind. He's not blinded by physically covering his eyes. He's blinded. That man was blinded by all the false interpretations of the gospel, of the message, of. Of Moses. False understanding, false interpretation, false misinterpretation of what Moses gave to Israel. Moses made it clear to Israel, a greater prophet than I is coming. He, you will believe. Jesus said to him here, you are not calling me God good, because you believe me. You are not calling me good because you love me. You are not calling me good because you are abiding in my word. You are calling me good so that you can get my attention to put me to test. And Jesus called him, gave him a different version, told him I am not good. It is only God that is good. Invariably, I am not God. But you know right there in that conversation, that man talking to him there called Jesus, is the only God. Not just God, but the only God beside him. There is no other God. Because the God, the ancient of days, is the Spirit inside him, dwelling in him as a man. The Bible says the totality of everything called God dwelleth inside him in bodily form. Yes. Give me the next verse. Thou knowest the commandments. Since you want to put me to test now let me turn you back to the commandments of Moses. Thou knowest all the commandments. You know them. If you want, if you ask me, if you are wanting to know what will make somebody to have eternal life, look at what Jesus gave him. You know all the commandments, so why are you asking again? Just keep on keeping them. Are you not a Pharisee? Do not commit adultery. Do not kill, do not steal, do not bear false witnesses, do not honor your father and Thy mother, that is all. But I tell you the truth. This man will tell him now. He has kept all these things. He has kept all these things and yet he's still asking for eternal life. People that are telling you that being born again is getting the spirit or the grace of God to enable you keep all these things. If you keep all these things, you are still an unbeliever. You are still a stranger to the kingdom of God. You are still far away from eternal life. Nesb and he said, all these have I kept from my youth up. You see, the person talking to him is a Pharisee. He has kept all these laws. The same thing happened to Nicodemus. He has kept all the laws. And that is exactly the dilemma. And this is exactly where the world is left behind. Because the world is believing. Christianity in the world today is believing. Christian denominations believe that being born again is having the grace to overcome the temptations of sin, having the grace to keep away, to keep obeying the laws of God, the laws of Moses, having the grace that that will enable and empower you the empowerment by the Spirit or by the grace to obey the laws of Moses. But that is not being born again. Stand up. Yes. Next verse. Now, when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, yet lacketh thou one thing? There is still one thing Jesus said to a man who has kept all the laws. He said to him, you are still lacking one thing. So if he receives these people that are claiming that they are born again because they are keeping all the laws, if they succeed in keeping all of them, Jesus will still have a word for you. You lack one more thing. And what is that? Now hear him. Sell all that thou hast, distribute them unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasures in heaven. Come, follow me. The only thing that will set you free from the only thing that will make a man enter that kingdom is come, follow me. And that is what is kept last. If that man finished selling all his belongings, all his treasures, all his wealth, but refused to follow him, he will surely not enter into that kingdom. So accepting Christ, believing Christ, believing him whom God has sent is the only criterion upon which a person can have access into the kingdom of God and eternal life that follows it. This is what happened to a man who said he has kept all the laws. The man did not know that he was dead. The man did not know that the spirit inside him is still dead. Even with all the laws he has kept, the man did not know that he was dead. And in the parable, in the parable that Jesus gave to this in Jesus speech to a man in that same in Luke chapter nine, he said to a man, he said, allow the Let the dead bury their dead. Let the dead bury their dead. Allow the dead to bury their dead. Come and follow me. Let the dead the man that is talking is dead. Jesus is calling him, come and follow me so that you will be alive and leave these dead people to bury their dead. It was a message. Unfortunately, the man to whom it was spoken did not understand. Jesus called that man dead. Jesus told that man, that day you are dead, come and follow me so that you will be alive and allow the dead people you have abandoned there to go and bury their dead. Dead burying the dead. The dead people burying the dead. Showing you that both the person being buried and the people burying him, all of them are dead. And the only way to come back to life is one way being born again. This being born again is by the supernatural power of the Word of God. That power is inside the Word of God. And when a person believes this word, the spirit inside out world turns his own spirit comes into him and turns his spirit on again. And the spirit that was dead now becomes alive. This is how a person can be born again. We are making this speak this message very clear so that anybody, anywhere, wherever you are, if you are desirous of this kingdom, if you are interested, if you have a longing for this kingdom, if you want your spirit to come back to life again, if you want to, if you want to be reconciled with God again, if you want the separation between you and God to stop today, the chance is yours.
