THE MYSTERY OF THE CHURCH PART 1

Good day viewers and listeners. This is the maiden edition of the Hard Truth of the Gospel broadcast and we are very happy to be with you tonight. We are broadcasting this message for every believer, wherever they are. We are bringing to your doorsteps. We are bringing to you the hard truth of the gospel which has been buried and kept which has been buried and kept away from people's attention, from people attention and for people recognition. For a long number of years we have been led by the spirit of God to do this project. And we believe that this project will bring you a great opportunity to hear once again that hard roots which was once preached on this earth by our Lord Jesus Christ and the church, as it were in the Bible. The topic of this edition is the mystery of the church. The mystery of the church. There is something that the Bible talks about the church. The Bible in the book of Ephesians, chapter 5 mentioned that there is a mystery about the church. That is the book of Ephesians, chapter 5, verse 31, 32. This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church. This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church. What is this great mystery? Not just a mystery, but a great mystery about the church and about Christ. This is the m. This is the topic that we want to look into today. What is this mystery? Unfortunately, when you go out there, you ask yourself, what do they say? What do people say about the church? What do people say the church is? What are people's ideas about the church? People opinion, people's conclusions, conception about the church. A lot of people out there, when they speak about. They speak about the church, they speak as if it were a. Their personal possession or the personal possession of someone, maybe the pastor or the general over here. Is it our church? Let's go to church. To some other people, they look at church as a place of gathering, a household where they gather, the building where they gather, the temple where they gather, the building, the structure where believers gather. Some have an idea of the church in this way. Some have idea of church as just a place where believers come to pray and to seek the face of God. For some, it is a place where they come to hear about prophecies concerning their situations, concerning their conditions, concerning their families, concerning their lives. For some, it's a place where they go for healing. For some is a place where they go to exercise one or two gifts, the gifts of the Holy Spirit, like speaking in tongues, like praying and all that. But is this the very reason? Why is this the idea? Are these ideas proper? Can we say that this is the purpose why the church was created? Was the church established for any of this as a place where people gather or go for prophecy? You sit down and after prayer you are told prophecies, you are told you are giving predictions about your future, about your business, or a place where people gather for healing, or a place where people gather for prayers, or a place or maybe the house where they got. Are these the idea? Are these correct? That's what we are going to look at. And what is this secret meaning, secret theme about the church which the war which the word of God describes as mystery? For something to be a mystery, it must be something that is a secret, that is hidden from people's attention, from people awareness for a moment, for a time, for a season, and thereafter it is released, it is revealed to just a people, not everybody. If we look at the book of Deuteronomy 29:29, the Bible says the secret things, the secret things belong unto our God. Deuteronomy 29:29, the secret things belong unto the Lord our God. But those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children forever that we may do all the works of this law. So the secret things belong unto the Lord our God. But those things which are revealed, then when they are secrets, they are still mysteries. But when they are revealed, it is revealed unto a few, to us and our children forever, that we may do all the works of this law. So a mystery is at first a secret, and later on that secret gets revealed. What is that secret about the church that has been revealed that is yet unknown to so many people? And the reason, the ignorance of which people have gotten themselves acquainted with different notions and ideas about the church. In the Book of Daniel, chapter 12, verse 4, Daniel, chapter 12, verse 4. The Bible states, for thou, O Daniel, shut up the words and see the book. Even to the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro. Our knowledge shall be increased. Daniel the prophet was giving a vision about this period where we live, this period in which we live, where people will run to and fro in search of knowledge, where people will move everywhere in search of knowledge. And yet the scarce the word of God and the truth of God, the truth of the gospel will become a very scarce commodity. Say, shut up the words. So it is God's mind, it's God's original plan, that the knowledge of this world should be shot and sealed away from people's awareness and understanding. He said, even to the end of the time, even to the time of the End the many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. Now this is exactly what has happened, because today we don't see many. Many seem to have a totally different notion and idea about the church. In Matthew 16:15 to 20, Matthew 16:15 to 20, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ made very clear pronouncements about the establishment of the Church. He said, he said unto them, but whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, blessed art thou, Simon Barjona. For flesh and blood has not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say unto thee that thou art Peter. And upon this rock I will build my church. And the gate of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt find on earth shall be found in heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt find loose on earth, shall be loosed in heaven. Then charged he the disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ. You can see that verse 20. And then he then he charged, then charged his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ. This was a conversation between our Lord Jesus Christ and the apostles. After a very long journey from Jerusalem to the city of Caesarea, Philippines, for not just for no other reason, he wanted them to walk away from the city of Jerusalem. And after a very long walk in those Caesarea, Philippines, he asked them, who do they say that I am? And Peter represented what people said concerning him. Some say you are the you are Elijah. Some say you are a prophet. Some say you are Jeremiah. Some say you are one of the prophets. Now all this characterization is exactly the same thing we are doing today. We are asking, what do people say the church is? People say the church is a place where you go. Some say is a place where you go for healing. And after maybe singing and praising and worshiping and dancing, healing will start. Some see it as a place of worship. Some say is a place for them to receive predictions about their life, about their future, about their family. Some say is the church the building, the building that is the church. Some say the church is owned by individuals. The owners now are said to be people who are maybe pastors or general overseers or bishops or whatever nomenclature they choose to give to themselves. These are vagaries of what people say about the church. But here Jesus, in choosing his word, say, thou art Peter. And upon this rock, upon this Rock I will build my church. Underline the word My. Something is being revealed to us here. The church is not any man's property. It is the property of Jesus Christ, Christ's own possession. My church. My church. Unfortunately, today many churches are registered. And if you go to the registration documents, they are asked some questions. Who is the owner of the church? You. And they will not write Christ. They wrote their names either as bishops or as general overseers or whatever. These churches are registered in the in the world today. Very interestingly, when Peter, by the help of the Holy Spirit, gave a good account of who Jesus is. Thou art Christ, the Son of the living God. He said, watch it. Flesh and blood did not reveal this unto you. Flesh and blood has not revealed this unto you. But my Father in heaven that tells you that the knowledge of who the church is is not something you can come by. The arm of the flesh by studying, by going to Bible college, by going to seminary. Jesus told Peter there, my Father in heaven revealed this to you. And upon this revelation, a lot of people have had different notions about the rock. But the rock is well explained there in verse 18 he said, Thou art Peter, I'm upon this rock. And this rock. This rock. What is this rock? This rock is explained very clearly in a passage I'm going to give to you now. But this rock is the revelation of who Jesus is. This rock is Jesus Christ. And the revelation of who he is is upon this rock I will build my church. The gate of shall not prevail. Fantastically in verse 20 he says he charged them that they should tell no man. Now, come to think of it, why would Jesus tell these disciples, these apostles? Do not tell these people who I am. What will be the reason? How come? They have just done a very long work. He has just asked them what people say about him. All that they say about him is false. And now Peter has answered by the help of the Holy Spirit. And he's telling Peter, don't let the people know who I am. It is God's divine plan that they will not know that they will take me to be any of these things and deal with me like they dealt with the prophets. But that is a clear affirmation that did not. There is something about Jesus and the church that is a mystery. And that mystery is what we are about to study tonight. Ephesians chapter one will begin. Ephesians chapter one 22 to 23. Ephesians chapter one 22-23 and have put all things under his feet and gave him to be the head over all things to the church which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all. Look at it very closely. He has put all things under his feet, gave him to be the head over all things to the world church. So first you have identified where this church is built on. It's built upon the revelation of who Jesus Christ is. Jesus, that rock. And for you to know that Jesus is that rock. Give me 1st Corinthians 10:4. 1st Corinthians 10:4. First Corinthians 10, verse 4. And they all drink the same spiritual drink for the drum of that spiritual rock that followed them. And that rock was Christ. That rock was Christ. So the Scripture answers precisely who that rock is, what that rock is. That rock is Christ. And the revelation of who Jesus Christ is is right there in the book of Matthew 15:16. Jesus said, Peter said, thou art Christ, the son of the living God. He said, flesh and blood has not told you this, but my Father in heaven. Upon this revelation of who I am, the church is being built. And the church built on this revelation, the gate of hate, the gate of hell, cannot prevail. So here in Ephesians 1:22,23, Jesus made it clear the Spirit of God made it clear that Christ is given to the church as the head of the church, head over all things to the church. And he said to the church, which is his body. Look at that, verse 23, which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all. When Jesus was on this earth, his body was the temple of the Holy Spirit. In John, chapter two, Bible said, He said, destroy this. I mean, destroy this temple. And in three days I will do what? I will rebuild it. And the Bible said, the Jews thought that he meant the temple in Jerusalem. But he later gave them the meaning of what he meant, that he meant not the temple in Jerusalem, but the temple of his body. Amen. Now you can see very clearly that when he was on earth, his body was a temple housing the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 2:9. The Bible says, all the fullness of the Godhead dwelleth inside that body in bodily form. All the fullness of the Godhead dwelleth inside him in bodily form. The Bible said in Colossians 1:19, it pleased God that he will dwell inside him. So Jesus was the temple of God on this Earth 2000 years ago. Upon his death and the resurrection, and consequent upon the coming down of the Holy Spirit on the church. On the Pentecost day, a body of believers where was raised for Jesus for God to indwell in them. So you can see why the Bible says in Ephesians 1:22-23 it says that this is the church, his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all. Colossians 1:18 Colossians 1, verse 18 and he is the head of the body, the church. Who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things he might have the preeminence. He is the head of the body, the church and the beginning. Who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things he might have three minutes Colossians 3, verse 15 Colossians 3, verse 15 3, verse 15 and let the peace of God rule in your hearts to the preach also here are called in one body. And yet be thankful the church believers are called in one body. Tonight we are digging into the meaning of the mystery behind the church. And Christ as the head of the church, we are called in one body. Ephesians 5:30 Ephesians 5:30 we are members of his body, for we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. These are describing the church as members of the body. We are the hands, the legs, the eyes, the nose. For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. The church is conceived by the Holy Spirit as the body housing the Elohim, as the house of God, as a habitation where God dwells, as a place of dwelling for God. As we progress, you are seeing him giving you a sense of standing, of who, of what the church is. He said, we are members of his body. The church is the body of Christ. The body of Christ is housing Christ. The body of Christ on this earth house God. When John spoke about it, he said, in the beginning was the world the world was God, the world was God. And verse 14 and the world was made flesh and dwelt among us. That was God in human form, housed by human flesh, covered by human flesh. In 2nd Corinthians 5:19 2nd Corinthians 5:19 the Bible says, to wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing on their trespasses unto them, and had committed unto us the word of reconciliation. God was in Christ God was hiding in Christ. That is one of the purpose why a church was established, a dwelling place of God, a hiding place of God where God dwells to do to carry out his work on earth. Ephesians 2:19 22 now therefore, ye are no more strange foreigners. This is Talking about the church, both fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God. And are built upon the foundation of apostles and prophets. Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone, in whom all the building, fitly framed together, groweth into a holy temple in Christ, in whom ye also are gilded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit. We have arrived at one conclusion. The church is God's habitation, built by God for the purposes of housing him, covering him. The church is a coverer, a covering for God. The church are people who are built up by the Holy Spirit as a house of God, as a household of God, as a habitation of God, the dwelling place of God. Where 2 and 3 are found together. Where through. Where 2 or 3. Where 2 or 3 come together in my name. I am there. That is that mystery. First Peter 2:5. First Peter 2, verse 5. Yes. Yeah. Also as lively stones that built up a spiritual house and holy priesthood to offer all spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. We are what? Living stones. To whom? We are living stones. Lively stones. We are built up as a spiritual house. The church is built up as a spiritual house of God. A holy priesthood to offer all spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. Romans 12:5. Romans 12:5. So we being many, are one body in Christ, and everyone members one of another. Every one of us is fitly, tightly joined together. The nose is connected to the eyes. The leg is connected to the hands. So the eyes are. Is connected. The eyes are connected to other parts of the body. For we are. For we have many members in one body. A body have different parts, and all members have not the same office. So we, being many, are not one body in Christ. And everyone members. Everyone members one of another. First Corinthians 12:27. First Corinthians 12:27. Now here are the body of Christ and members in particular. Give me verse 20 there. Verse 20 of that. But now are there many members. But I mean yet. But one body. Give me verse 14. Give me verse 12 to 14. Yes. For as the body is one and have many members, and all the members of that one body be many, are one body. So also is Christ. For by one spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether I will be born or free, and have been have been all made to drink into one spirit. For the body is one. For the body is not one member, but many. Praise God. So you can see that there is a mystery concerning the church. Read it there in Ephesians, chapter 5, verse 32. There is this mystery. There is a mystery. And this mystery is what we want to encapsulate. Ephesians 5:20. This is a great mystery. But I speak concerning the Church, concerning Christ and the Church. What is this mystery that the Bible has concerning Christ and the Church? One of it is that the Church is God's habitation, God's own dwelling place, God's hiding place. Bible said he hid himself in Christ to reconcile the world unto himself. Now he's hiding himself in the Church to reconcile unbelievers unto him. That is one very formidable truth. So the Church is not the building. The church is not the temple, the church is not the house. A church is not a place of worship. It's not the place of gathering, it's not the place of fellowship, it's not a house where we gather, it's not the building where we gather. A lot of people have the illusion that it is that place we gather as the Church. And that's why you see many people observing a sense of parity, genuflection to the house of gathering, the house of fellowship, the place of gathering of the Church. They come and they genuflect, signaling a sense of reverence to God that is believed to be dwelling there. Unfortunately, God purpose to live in the very man who is bowing down before an empty object. That empty house, that empty temple is not God's dwelling place. God once lived there. But on the day of crucifixion, the moment Jesus died on the cross, that house was vacated by God. And the temple bell separating the Holy of Holies from the Holy Temple was on. And the voice went for come boldly to the throne of grace, to receive grace. Everyone, no barrier, no hindrance, no condition. Come boldly. Every one of you out there in the Temple, in the Outer Temple, come boldly to the throne of grace, to this place where hitherto you could not come. God now begins to invite us to come straight into the Holy of Holies. Fellowship in the Church is taking place not in the Outer Temple, not in the Middle Temple. Because every Temple has three divisions. The Outer Temple, the Middle Temple and the Holy of Holies. Fellowship is taking place today in the Holy of Holies where Christ Jesus is. That Holy of Holies is not in the Temple. In Jerusalem there is none yet there that Holy of Holies is the inside the Church. In the Church of Christ, you have the Holy of Holies, you have the Holy Temple. You still have the outer part, because in the Church you still have unbelievers. In the church. The unbelievers in the church form the outer part of the temple. Some people inside our church who provide services. The Bible says all of us who are called believers, all of us as believers, are now priests and members of the royal priesthood of God. Amen. So the priests that usually that hit up to officiated in the temple are now the believers themselves. Christ has made all believers to become priests of God, both man and woman. That's what the Bible declares. We are the royal priesthood of God. You see that in the book of Revelation, chapter 5, verse 10. Revelation chapter 5, Revelation chapter 5. And has made us unto our God kings and priests. And we shall reign on the earth. He has made us what kings and what priests. It is very clear that God has made believers as priests. So when you are in the church, you don't need a Levite, you are delivered, believers are delivered. We officiate in the church. And there is no high priest in a human person. The high priest of the church now is Christ Jesus. You see that in the book of Hebrews, chapter 10, from verse 19, Hebrews chapter 10. Yes. Having therefore brethren boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which he has consecrated for us through the veil, that is to say his flesh. You see, the Bible called the flesh of Jesus the veil. And having an high priest over the house of God. Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith. Having our hearts crinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast our. Our profession of. The profession of our faith. Wavering without wavering. For he is faithful that promised. Amen. So you can see that Christ is the high priest in the church. Not Aon, not any human person, but Jesus Christ. He is the high priest in the church. And every believer is a priest of God. Every believer is a priest of God. This is a great mystery. A great mystery that Jesus replaced the physical temple. And upon his death and resurrection and the coming down of the Holy Spirit, God set up another habitation which is the church. So today it is important you understand. One of the secret mysteries of the church about the church which is being revealed today is that the church is what the habitation of God. The hiding place of God. God's hideout. People will not know. People are running, enter sketches looking for God. They don't know where God is hiding. How many of you know that God hides himself? Give me Isaiah 45, 15. In every generation God hides himself. When God was In the world. The Bible says the letters of the world killeth, but the spirit of the world giveth life. The letter killeth. God was hiding in the world. The letters of the world. From the letters of the world, God moved to tents, tabernacles and temples in the temple, right there in the temple, God provided a veil in the word of God. When God was in the world, he provided a veil. The letters of the world was the veil. When he was in the physical temple, there was a physical veil covering him. When he was in the body of Jesus Christ, the body of Christ was the veil. When he left the body of Christ upon his death and moved to the church, the church, we members of the church, became a covering for God. In Isaiah 45:15, Verily thou art a God that hideth thyself. O God of Israel, the Savior. God hideth himself. That's why the Bible says he was hiding in Christ Jesus, reconciling the world unto himself. So he's not a building, he's not a structure. It's not a place you come to receive predictions, prophecies. Not a place you come for healing? No. It is a place where God dwells. You come, you gather for fellowship in the church. There is fellowship between God that dwells in there and the believers. It is a place where fellowship between man and God is observed. A place where God is worshiped as God. A place where God is glorified by people who are his covering, who are his believers. The Bible made it clear. And this was the reason why the debts, why Stephen lost his life in Acts of the apostle, chapter 7, verse 24. One of the things that was considered an unbearable blasphemy, for which reason Stephen was stoned to death instantly on the command of men like Apostle Paul. Then he was called Saul. Was his saying that God does not dwell in temples built with human hands. And seeing one of them, that is Acts of the Apostle, chapter 7, verse, verse 48. Sorry. Acts 7, verse 48. How be it the Most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands, as saith the prophet. Howbeit the Most High dwelleth not in them was made with hands, as saith the prophet? He used to dwell in those temples, but at that time he has ceased to dwell. And Apostle Paul, one of those who commanded Stephen to be crucified upon discovering this truth, re echoed it in Acts 17, Acts 17:24 with a great and positive affirmation. God that made the world and all things there is seeing that he is the Lord of heavens and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands. He is no longer there. That is now an empty place. An empty place without anything being there. John 4:21-23 John 4 okay, before we do that, let's look at other passages. Give me some. 32 verse 7 Psalm 32 verse 7 Psalm 32 verse seven Thou art my my hiding place. Thou shalt preserve me from trouble. Thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Thou art my hiding place. Psalm 17:8 Psalm 17 verse keep me as the apple of the eye hide me under the shadow of thy wings. This is what God is doing, is hiding under the shadow under the covering of his people. Psalm 31:20 Psalm 31:20. Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence. This is a great prophecy. Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man. Thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues. Proverbs 18:10 Proverbs 18:10 the name of the Lord is a strong tower. The righteous runeth into it, and is safe. The name of the Lord is a strong power. The righteous runeth in and is safe. Colossians trade tree colossal 3:3 for ye are dead, and your life is heed with Christ in God. Ye are dead, and your life is heed with Christ in God. So the mystery about the church is that we are hid in God, and God is our God. We God God is hiding inside us, and yet we are hid inside him. Is a mystery that God will be hiding inside the people and yet the we and yet the people and yet God God is hiding inside the people and the people inside God. God hiding inside the people, and the people hiding inside God. That is one of the great mysteries a great mystery is hidden in is buried in that particular saying. Ephesians 2:6. And had raised up raised us up together and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. John 4:21-23 John 4:21-23 Jesus said unto her, woman, believe me, the hour cometh when ye shall neither in this temple nor at Jerusalem worship the Father. Yet worship ye know not what yet we know what we worship for salvation is of you. But the hour cometh and is and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth. For the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a spirit, and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. You see, worshiping of God is one of the things for which the church is established. Worshipping of God is one of the things for which the church is established. But the Bible said it must not be in one place. There is no particular place that is earmarked for the worship of God. The Bible said made it clear through the mouth of Jesus to this woman. A time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth worship him anywhere, provided their worship is in spirit and in truth. A time is coming and has now come now. The essence of the church is that the church provides that arena for the worship of God anywhere. Let's take that place again. Let's take it again. Jesus said to the woman, believe me, the hour cometh when ye shall neither in this temple nor at Jerusalem worship the Father. You must not worship God in any particular place. I've heard so many people talk about coming to their fellowship, coming to their church, coming to this. The worship of God can take place anywhere where two or three are gathered in my name. In his name. He is there. Yet worship. Ye know not what we worship, what we know for salvation is of the Jew. But the hour cometh and is now when the true worshipers are worshiping the Father in spirit and in truth, for the Father seeketh such to worship him. The worship of God by the by the from the time the church is established is meant to occur anywhere where everybody people of God gather, The Bible says wherever the vulture gather, wherever the carcass is there, the vulture will gather. Wherever the carcass is, then the vulture goes. Wherever two or three are gathered in his name, God is there. Worship is taking place there. One of the mysteries that have been shattered, One of the old truth that have been shattered is that worship of God must take place in a particular place. The mystery of the church is that it can take place anywhere, wherever he is. Acts 20:28, 30 Acts 20:28 to 30 Take heed unto thyself take it therefore unto yourself and to all the flock over the which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers to feed the church of God, which he has purchased with his own blood. The church is identified here as a people that are purchased by the blood of Jesus. For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flocks also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things to draw away disciples after them. Therefore watch and remember that by a space of three years I cease nothing to warn everyone night and day with tears. So you can see the church is a possession possessed by God and purchased with the blood of Jesus Christ. 2nd Samuel 7:11 to 16. 2nd Samuel 7:11-16. And as since the time that I commanded Judges to be over my people Israel, and have caused thee to rest from all thine enemies, also the Lord telleth thee that he will make thee an house. And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels. And I will establish his kingdom, and he shall build an house for my name. And I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. I will be his father, he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men and with the strife of the children of men. But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before thee. And thy house and thy kingdom shall be established forever before thee. Thy throne shall be established forever. According to all these words and according to all these visions, so did Nathan speak unto David. One of the mysteries about the church is what we're about to talk about now. Sometime in the Old Testament, God, through the mouth of prophet N, spoke to the king of Israel, David, who desired to build a house for God. Seeing that he lives in a very palatial castle built for him by the people of Israel, he desired an even begged, sought the permission of the man of God to build a house for him. The man of God, not knowing the mind of God, said, go ahead, you are the beloved of God. But when the word of God came to, the man of God said, go and tell him he will not build me and house I shall build. Look at that verse. Look at that verse 11. No, verse 13. He shall build an house. He shall build a house for my name. And I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. I will be. Look at verse 11 and 12. And since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel, and have caused thee to rest from all thy enemies, and also the Lord telleth thee that he will make thee an house. Yes, look at that particular passage. A lot of people misunderstand what God said there. God did not say that he will build a house for David. He said, I will make thee an house. I will make you a human being and house. In other words, I will make from your loins one person, someone from your loins. Will I make a house for myself. This was a word of prophecy that someone from your loins, someone from your descendants, will I make a house unto myself. I will make a human being a house. Look at it. That he will make thee a house. Make thee and house. Make thee and house. A lot of misunderstanding. People misunderstood this thing to be the house that Solomon built in the land of Israel. No, there is a meaning behind beneath the surface of that world. The prophet is talking about a human being being made a house of God is talking about a person being made an house unto God. Look at verse 12. And when the days be fulfilled and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, so it is not David. David would have died by then. I will save up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy voice. And I will establish his kingdom. He shall build a house for my name and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever the king. The the. The temple that Solomon built in the land of Israel was later destroyed by the the Babylonians in 668. 660 BC. So you can see that the temple that Solomon built is what is not. Is not the temple being talked about here. There is a temple that is prophetically being talked about here. I will make thee. I will make somebody a house. I will make somebody a house. I will make a house on somebody. I will plant my house on somebody. In John, chapter 1, verse 14, the Bible declares Jesus, he said, and the world was made flesh and dwells among us. I will make somebody a house. In Isaiah, chapter 9, verse 6, the Bible declares Unto us. Unto us. Unto us a child is Unto us a child is born. Unto us a son is given. And the government shall be upon his shoulder. And his name shall be called Wonderful. Comes the Lord, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. Unto us a child is born. There is going to be a house of God set up on somebody set up on a human being. From the loins of David, according to the prophecy of Nathan the Prophet, Unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given. The government shall be upon his shoulders and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. And of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end upon the throne of David and upon his kingdom to order it and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth, even forever, the zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform it. God prophetically announced in the Old Testament he will make a human being and house. And so we need to understand what is this house and what is the myth? What is this connection with the mystery about the church? Once upon a time A man lived here on earth, lived for 33 years and some months, and died. And the Bible said that man declared himself to be he. He told the woman of Samaria, I am what I am he. The woman said, we are waiting for the Messiah when he come visit. He said, woman, shut up. I am he. Prophetically, the prophet announced, rather than granting the request of David, God told him, someone from your loins will be made by me to be an house where I will dwell. And we are seeing it today being fulfilled. The Bible said in Colossians 2, verse 9, that the totality of the Godhead, all the ingredients of godliness, all the ingredients of Godhead, dwelleth in one man in bodily form. Colossians 1:19. He said it pleased him that in him shall his fullness dwell. So there is a great mystery about the church now. The church we are still continuing. Christ came on earth. In the Book of John, chapter 2. In the book of John, chapter 2. Give me 19:20, 21. Jesus answered and said unto them, destroy this temple, and in three days I will grace it all. Jesus here acknowledges that his body is the temple of God. Jesus here affirms that he is that person, a son from the line of who David, on whom God has built his house, whom God has made to become his house. Now he says, destroy this temple, and in three days I will restore. Then say the Jews, 40 and 60 years was this temple in building, and without rear it up in three days. But he spake from the temple of his body. But he spake of the temple of his body. When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said unto them. And they believed the scripture and the word which Jesus had said. At that time they could not believe. But after the resurrection, they believed exactly what was said. Now he is that temple. This temple eventually got crumbled on the cross of Calvary. At the cross of Calvary, it was crushed to death. But it was rebuilt. It was rebuilt by the same God on the Pentecost day. And this is why the church is said to be the body of who Christ is. A covering is a the body where God is dwelling. So there is a mystery, a great mystery about the church. The church is that building is that house built on a man, built on a person. I would make thee an house. I will make thee an house. This is to a man who is begging to be allowed to build a house for God. It is not the house that Solomon built. The house that Solomon built does not stand forever, but the church of the Lord Jesus is a house that stands forever. So the church is that house built on a person. The Bible said that the Church is built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. Christ Jesus being the chief, what cornerstone is that house built on him as the cornerstone of the house? A great mystery in fulfillment of a prophecy made thousands of years that God will build a human being and house. When that human being came on on earth, the Bible says he announced that he is the temple of God. That is a house where God dwells in fulfillment of that prophecy. But that prophecy did not end there. That prophecy did not end there because Christ did not end there. Because when Christ left, Christ reappeared somewhere and followed me to the Book of John, chapter 14 to see that it was Christ that reappeared in the church. John, chapter 14. From verse. From verse 16. And I will pray the Father he shall give you another comforter that he may abide with you forever. Even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because he seeth him not. Neither knoweth him, but yet know Him. For he dwelleth with you and shall be in you I will be. I will not leave you comfortless. I will come to you yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more. But yet see me because I live. Ye shall live also at that day. Ye shall know them in my Father, and yet in me and I in you. You can see what is there yet a little while. And the world seeth me no more. But he hath seen me because I live. Ye shall live also. I will not leave you comfortless. I will come to thee. Look at verse 16. I will pray the Father, I will give you another comforter that may abide with you forever. So this is that temple that will live and abide forever. Even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because he seeth him not, neither knoweth him. For yet know him, for he dwelleth with you and shall be in you. Who is he talking about? He's talking about no other one but himself. He is right there with them. He dwelleth with you now and that time he will be in you. He dwelleth with them as at that time. But when the church is going to be formed, he will be in them. I will not leave you comfortless. I will come to you. I will not leave you. You see the person telling you, I will not leave you comfortless. I will not leave you. Like an offer is telling you that is coming. But in his way of telling you that is coming, he said, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world Cannot receive because he seeth him not, neither knoweth him. For ye know him, for he dwelleth with you. Jesus is that Spirit of truth. In John 14:6, he said, I am the Way, the truth and the life. He is that Spirit of truth. So it's important that we understand what God has done about the church. There is a great mystery about what people call this thing that people wash up their body and rush to God, receive prophecy, to go and receive healing, to go and receive to God, speak in tongues to God, do one thing or the other. There is something very powerful beneath the surface. They do not know what they are talking about. A great prophecy was made by God that he would build a human being, make a human being his house. This human being, when he came in, declared himself to be the temple of God. Which means that God is living in him. In fulfillment of what was said in the Old Testament and going forth at the point of departure. He said, I will not leave you what comfortless. I will pray the Father will give you another comforter, that he will abide with you forever. Even the Spirit of truth, instead of telling them I, the Spirit of truth. Because the Spirit of God that dwelleth inside him is that Spirit of truth. Instead of giving them that thing directly, he said, even the Spirit of truth, who the world cannot receive, but he seeth, because he seeth him not. Neither knoweth him. They don't know him. But ye know him. For he shall for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. In verse 11, in verse, in verse 9 to 11, or maybe 8 to 11, you may need to look at it to have an understanding of who is talking. Because he who is talking is he that is in Christ, and that is His Father, and that is God, and that is Jesus Christ. What you call the Holy Spirit is God. What you call the Father is God. They are just one person. They are not two persons. Never in the history of this world had God taken any human flesh except in the person of the Lord Jesus. In every other form he comes, he can come through in an angelic form. He can use, and he can make an angelic appearance. But only once have he taken off a flesh, a human flesh. Of course, the angelic appearance can. Can take a human. The angel can take a human being, but it is an angelic appearance. He made an angelic appearance when he appeared as Melchizedek. He made an angelic appearance when he was going to Sodom and Gomorrah for destruction. But only once had he appeared in human form by A human person. And that's why APostle Paul declares, First Timothy 3:16, Great is the mystery of godliness. Great is the mystery of godliness. What is in Christ? What is in Jesus? 1st Timothy 3:16. What is in Jesus is much more than what the eyes can see without controversy. Great is the mystery of godliness. God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the spirit, Seen for the first time of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed all in this world received all into glory. In that Passage of John 14 from verse 8 to 11, the Bible records be fast. Philip said unto him, lord, shew us the Father, and he suffices and is sufficeth us. Jesus said unto him, have I been so long time have I been so long time with you? And yet hast thou not known me? Philip? He that has seen me has seen the Father. And how saith thou shew us the Father? Believeth thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? When I speak unto you, I speak not of myself, but the Father that dwelleth in me. He dwelleth the world, believing me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me. Or else believe me for the very works I do here. This episode gives a further and fresh reinforcement that Jesus had someone inside him. The Father who took that flesh, the flesh is Jesus, but Christ the Almighty, the Messiah dwelleth inside him. And so when the apostles sought for him to show them the Father, he said, which Father, believeth thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I speak unto thee, I speak not of myself, but the Father that dwelleth in me. He doeth a work in verse 9 He said Jesus said unto him, have I been so long time with you, and yet has thou not known me, Philip he that has seen me has seen the Father. He who have seen me have seen the Father. How sayest thou then show us the Father. This is the Father. This is the Holy Spirit. This is the God that dwelleth in him. Whether you call him Father or Almighty God, or the Holy Spirit, or anything, he is that God that dwelleth in Christ. He is just, and he has not made use of more than one person, and cannot make use of more than one person. He dwelleth in God. He dwelleth in Christ, in Jesus. To reveal himself unto us. Now upon his death, the Christ that is dwelling in him has moved over to the church and he announced that the church is his body, the body of Christ. The same way his body provided a covering for God when he was Jesus. That's the same way the church is providing God a word covering. So another mystery about the church is that the church is that house that God built on one of the sons of David. An everlasting house, a house that will be forever. When Jesus was establishing the church, he said, upon this church, upon this rock, I'll build my church. And the gates of hell shall not prevail. The gates of hell cannot prevail. It is going to last forever. It is not a house that Solomon built, it is the house that God built. This church is built on a man. This church is built on a man. Upon this rock I will build my church. I will make thee an house. That was the prophecy. I will make a human being my house. Upon this rock I will build my church. That is a fulfillment of the prophecy of Nathan the prophet in the book of 2nd Samuel 7, 11, 16, in John chapter 14:1 to 7. We have a very strong message there. Let not your heart be troubled yet. Believe in God. Believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you, I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself. That where I am there year may be also. And whether I go or praise God. So you see, the house that God promised. Who? The house God promised David, who wanted to build a house for him. He said, don't build a house for me, rather he said, I will build thee as house I will make thee. He didn't say, I will build you, I'll build a house for you. That is the interpretation the world has given it. Christian religious interpretation has given it an idea that God said, he will build a house for David. No. And it is not the house that Solomon built because it is not a house that lasts forever. That house was destroyed many years ago. But here Jesus is talking about building a house. Look at it again. Let not your heart be troubled yet. Believe in God. Believe also in me. In my Father's house are many Martians. If it were not so, I would have told you I have gone to prepare a place for you. There is something that he's going to prepare, is going to prepare a house. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto me. That where I am there, here may be also. What is he talking about here? The church. He's talking about the church. Preparation, preparing the church. Building the church required him to go somewhere. Where did he go to the grave. How many days did he spend there? Three days. Some people have told you that he went to heaven. No. He went to the grave. Through sacrifice of his blood and the death on the cross of Calvary. He died in fulfillment of all that is needed for the church to be bettered. And after that the church came into existence. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again. He is now coming back to that church. This is not the second coming of Jesus Christ. This is the coming of Jesus Christ. He told the church as what? As Holy Spirit. Spirit. This was fulfilled on the Pentecost day. They didn't know. He that said, he will not leave you comfortless. He that said he will not leave you like an orphan. Eventually they come back to take care of the church. Because the Bible says he is the head man of the church. Christian religious interpretations from Bible colleges and seminaries have taken it to be that he went to heaven. And Jesus went to heaven after 40 days, after resurrection. He couldn't have been telling people he would go and prepare a place before his death. It was the death of Jesus Christ that he was talking about. Jesus needed to die to bring salvation to the church. To bring salvation, salvation to man, to give birth to the church. It is his death and resurrection that gave birth to the church. Without his death, without his resurrection, there can be no church. It is when he has died that he now he said, when I prepare a place. After preparing that place, after 30 days, everything needed to establish the church was what accomplished. And then he resurrected. And after resurrection, the nun proceeded to meet them in that upper room. And he breathed into them what the Holy Spirit. And while they were still waiting on the Pentecost day, they received the watershed of the Holy Spirit of them which now empower them. Now the church, the world does not know what has happened. God has fulfilled the prophecy that he made to David. I will build a house on a human being. I will build for myself a house on a built on a human being. I will make thee an house. I will make thee an house. The Bible testifies that this church is built upon this same man, Jesus Christ. Upon this rock I will build my church. First Corinthians, chapter 10, verse 4 declares that rock is who Christ. Romans 16:25. Romans 16:25. Now to him that is of power to establish you according to my Gospel and to the preaching of Jesus, persecuted the revelation of the mystery which was kept secret since the world began. Now to him that is of power to establish you according to my Gospel. And the preaching of Jesus Christ. The preaching of Jesus Christ. Take a listen. The preaching of Jesus Christ according to the revelation of the mystery which was kept secret since the world began preaching of Jesus Christ. Apostle Paul emphasized that the message he preached was Jesus Christ. Not according to anything, not according to human understanding, not according to human perception, not according to human opinion, but according to the revelation of the mystery which was kept secret since the war began. 2nd Corinthians 11:4 to 5. This is where we may be stopping today for the first session of this particular message. But I am going to read that particular 2nd Corinthians 11 to 2nd Corinthians 114 to 5. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit which ye have not received, or another gospel which ye have not accepted, year might be with him. For I suppose I was not a wheat behind the very chiefest apostles. I suppose I was not the least among the apostles. Say, if he that cometh preaches another Jesus. Apostle Paul preached Jesus according to the revelation of the mystery that that was kept secret since the world began. But is here telling us that people will preach. People, other people preach Jesus preach another Jesus whom he has not preached. They preach, they bring another spirit which is different from the spirit of God, and they preach another gospel different from the gospel that he is preaching. And that's the world easily accept that kind of Jesus, that kind of spirit, that kind of gospel. The world easily accepts it. Unfortunately, this is what has dominated and actually pervaded the whole of humanity. The whole world today is profusely infiltrated with this false Jesus, a Jesus not according to the revelation of the gospel, but according to what people say about it. When we began this message, we asked what Jesus asked, what do people say about me? What do people say I am? And the world versions of who he is was given to him by Peter before he said, who do you say I am? In this same way, Apostle Paul declares that he preached Jesus according to the revelation of the mystery that was kept secret since the world began. But the other people, he said here, preach another Jesus whom we have not preached. They carry, they bring another spirit which we have not received, another gospel which we have not accepted. And that is the one the world easily accepts. So there is. There is a contrast here between the Jesus that Apostle Paul preaches, between the Jesus Apostle Paul preached, which is according to the revelation of the mystery of the church of Jesus kept secrets in the world began and the Jesus that the world is preaching today. The Spirit the world is talking about today. The Gospel the world is talking about today. This is why this program is titled the Half Truth of the Gospel. It is the half truth that ancient truths of the scriptures and abandoned and forgotten, forsaken and swept away by the tide of falsehood over the ages. That is what the Spirit of God has directed us to go and pick up. The battle of the race, the battle of the faith which the apostles used to run this race. We need to go and bring it. We need to discover it. Wherever we lost it, wherever we abandoned it, need to go and take it. We need to speak what they spoke. We need to believe what they believe. We need to say what they say. We need to stop where they stop in that church. Jesus is the head of everybody. Jesus is the head over everybody. Jesus have supremacy over all. But today in the world the traditions of men prevail over the word of God. Today in the world, opinions of individuals prevail over the word of God. Today in the world, doctrines of men have taken over the doctrines of the church. The doctrines of Christ. That is a clan. This is a clarion call, a very powerful call calling on you tonight to have everything about what you have all this while believed about the church. What do you think the church is? What is the church? Is it a building? Will you continue to say? Is a building a temple? A place of gathering somebody's own property other than Jesus Christ. A place where he come for preaching, I mean for prophecy. A place where he come for healing. A place where he comes for a problem to be solved. A place where you bring your problem for solution. A place you come for predictions. A place you come for healing. Is it just a place of prayer? No, it's none of these things. It is a house built by God on born a human being after his physical death he has continued to exist as a spirit in the church with the body of believers as his body and the temple veil. We hope to continue on this series in our next edition. Thank you for listening.
